Skydance Paramount Will Cut Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Paramount Skydance will begin large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, cutting about 2,000 American roles as part of a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August valued at $8.4bn.

Further overseas workforce reductions are expected, with Paramount Skydance intending to announce all specifics via its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.

Prior news stated the company planned to reduce between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.

Until December 2024, the company employed almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 project-based staff.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented to a request for comment.
