Police confirm the singer is cooperating with the ongoing probe

Officials in the United States have confirmed that badly decomposed remains discovered in a car linked to singer D4vd belong to a missing teenage girl.

Police personnel located the remains of Celeste Rivas inside the trunk of an seized Tesla on 8 September, after investigating complaints of a foul odor at a Hollywood tow yard.

Investigators indicated that both the manner and date of her death are still undetermined.

Rivas, a resident of Lake Elsinore in California, was 13 years old at the time of her disappearance and was spotted on 5 April 2024, as stated in a public flyer.

Earlier, officers mentioned that the Tesla had probably been at the impound facility for "a couple of days" before the discovery.

The vehicle, which has a Texas registration, was towed from the Hills area after being left five days earlier.

The automobile is registered to 20-year-old David Anthony Burke, the official name of recording artist D4vd.

Last week, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner stated that the individual whose body were found was 157cm tall, had curly black hair, and was clad in a sleeveless shirt and black pants.

It was noted that the remains had a inking on the right forefinger that read: "Shhh."

The remains were not complete, and it appeared the teen had been deceased for an lengthy duration of time, per police insiders.

D4vd, who has a large number of followers on social media, is most famous for his viral hits "Here With Me" and "Romantic Homicide".

He released his debut album in April and was on tour when the remains were discovered in the Tesla. The tour's scheduled show in Seattle on Wednesday was cancelled.

Authorities state that D4vd is working together with the investigation.
